American Airlines flyers may be qualified for an airline refund

AAA Travel prioritizes providing our clients with timely and useful travel information.  To that end, we were informed of a class action settlement which may entitle you to a refund of baggage fees paid to American Airlines.

 If you traveled on American Airlines between Feb 24, 2017 and April 8, 2020, and either:

  • qualified for  AAdvantage Gold status loyalty program;
  • used the AA-branded credit cards that came with bag-check privileges;
  • booked because of a free baggage promotion, or
  • flew first class

and paid baggage fees, you could qualify for a refund.

To obtain the refund you must file a claim either online at www.bagfeesettlement.com or by mail postmarked by no later than Feb. 22, 2023 to:
